Karpura Ganapathi (Ganesha Sculpture with Camphor) is a Vinayaka idol made of Karpuram (camphor). This sculpture was made by Tarani Prasad Misro, a sand sculptor cum artist based at Srikakulam district of Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Karpura Ganapathi sculpture is being made for Ganesh Chaturthi 2013 celebrations at Bala Vighneshwara Bhakta Brundam, Vijayawada.
According to Tarani Prasad Misro, he used only Karpuram nothing else for this sculpture. The beautiful idol makes everyone attract to it because of its wonderful fragrance.
Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations have begun on September 9th and will end on September 18th with Vinayaka Nimajjanam (Anantha Chaturdashi).
