Kaleshwaram Pushkaralu (Saraswati River Pushkaralu) are celebrated at Kaleshwaram Mukteshwara Swamy Temple from May 31, 2013 to June 11, 2013. For the first time, in 2010, Pushkaralu were held at Kaleshwaram (Pranahitha Pushkaralu).
This time, Saraswati Pushkaralu are being held as the Pranahitha is the tributary of Narmada River which is associated with Saraswati River in many ways. Saraswati River is one of the chief Rigvedic rivers mentioned in ancient Sanskrit texts.
When Pushkararaja, Brihaspati (Guru) enters into Midhuna Rashi, the Saraswati Pushkarams are celebrated. On 31 May 2013, Guru enters into Mrigashira Nakshatra which marks the beginning of Sun’s journey in Midhuna Rashi (Gemini).
Apart from Kaleshwaram, Kurukshetra in Haryana, Pushkar in Rajasthan, Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple in Gujarat and Bedaghat in Madhya Pradesh are the best places to perform Saraswati River Pushkara Punya Snana.
