25 September 2014 is Kalasha Sthapana for Navratri (Ghata Sthapana). It marks the beginning of Navratri Durga Puja.
Kalasha Sthapana falls on Ashwin Shukla Pratipada (Ashwayuja Shudda Padyami). In 2014, there is some confusion over Kalasha Sthapana date and timings as Mahalaya Amavasya ends and Pratipada begins in the noon on 24th September. Some Pundits (Panchangakarthas / astrologers) say Kalasha Sthapana should be performed on 24th September.
But most of the calendars say that Kalasha Sthapana should be performed on 25th September. Hindupad.com also mentions the Kalash Sthapana date as 25th September.
Few Ghadiyas (Ghanti) after from Sunrise is auspicious for Kalasha Sthapana. Abhijit Muhurat, Rahu Kaalam, Aparahna Vela, Pradosha Kaala, Godhooli vela, etc.. are also considered auspicious timings for this by many sects of Hindu dharma.
