HH Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamiji
131st Jayanti Mahotsavam of Jagadguru Pujyashri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal – the 68th Shankaracharya of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam will be celebrated at Shrimatam, Kanchipuram from 22nd to 24th May 2024 with Veda Parayanam, Vidwat Sadas, Upanyasam, Nama Sankeertanam, Nada Samarpanam etc. with blessings and presence of HH Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal.
On 24th May – Jayanti day – Rudra Parayanam- Japam- Homam will commence at 7 am. Visesha abhishekam, alankaram, archana and maha deeparadhana will be performed at the Brindavanam of Pujya Mahaswamigal. Various spiritual and cultural programmes will be held. Devotees are invited to participate in the Jayanthi Mahotsavam and receive the blessings of Sri Acharya Swamigal.
The Centenarian Trust’s Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal Annual Endowment Lecture that is organized every year on the Jayanthi day of His Holiness will be held. In the evening, a utsava vigraha and portrait of His Holiness Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji will be taken in a procession in a decorated golden chariot around the Adhistanam. Classical carnatic music concerts will be held in the evening in the Brindavan hall.
Honorarium will be given to the Village Pujaris, Gurukals and Archakas under the scheme of the Kachi Modoor Welfare Trust, that was instituted with the blessings of His Holiness Pujyasri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamiji in the year 1986 to provide monthly financial assistance to indigent Archakas in the remote villages of Tamilnadu.
