Hanuman puja is a beneficial ritual during Durga Navratri (Vasant Navratri & Devi Saran Ashwin Navratri). It is observed for 10 days, from Pratipada to Dashami in Chaitra month or Ashwin month. In 2016, Navratri begins on October 1 and ends on October 10.
Hanuman Upasana in Navratri days is even more beneficial for students. It gives them immense memory power, self confidence, and ambition to win challenges.
How to do Hanuman Puja during Navratri
After performing ceremonial bath on the first day of Navratri, we should pray to Lord Hanuman to allow us for worshipping Him. (You can also chant Sankalpam mantra here).
Place Hanuman idol in pooja room after sanctifying the place. Now, offer bath to idol with Gangajal or fresh water. After that Simple Hanuman Puja is performed.
Sindhura (chandan), vastra yugmam (garland of cotton), and flowers are adorned to Hanuman. Boiled chick peas (Bengal gram) are offered as naivedyam to the Lord.
Hanuman Chalisa is chanted for more than 7 times. We can also read Sundara Kanada.
Hanuman Aarti is recited and aarti is performed. After the puja, we can distribute Teerth and Prashad among other devotees.
