13 May 2015 is Hanuman Jayanti (Hanuman Jayanti in Vaishakha Masam). It is celebrated in Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Karnataka. It falls on Shukla Paksha Dashami in Vaishakh Month as per Telugu calendars (Amavasyant Panchangam).

Devotees observe fasting on Hanuman Jayanti and offer Shodashopachar Puja to Lord Hanuman. Special naivedyam like Vadapappu, Bellam, Bellam Panakam, Gaarelu or Vadas are prepared and offered to the Lord.

Worshipping Lord Hanuman with Sindhura (Chandanam) and Betel nut leaves is highly meritorious. Devotees also believe that those who perform Hanuman Jayanti Puja by offering Vadamaala (garland of Vadas) to the Lord would be blessed with happiness and prosperity.
