Grahana Yoga is one of the most inauspicious Yogas found in Vedic Astrology. It is formed when Rahu or Ketu combines with Sun or Moon in any of the house in birth chart. Unfortunately, this is also one of the most common Yogas according to astrology as nearly 60% of the people have this kind of Yoga.

It is important to understand that Sun rules our overall personality while Moon rules our emotions. Due to the malefic effects of Rahu and Ketu on any of these planets, the entire life of the person can become troublesome. However, the effect of this Grahana Yoga can be reduced through some poojas.

Conditions for Grahana Yoga

For Grahana Yoga to be formed in the birth chart, either the Sun or Moon has to combine with Rahu or Ketu. This combination can occur in any house of the chart.

Sun with Rahu, Sun with Ketu, Moon with Rahu and Moon with Ketu are the combinations that lead to Grahana Yoga.

The house in which it is formed gets affected badly due to this combination. Every house has some area of life associated with it and this part of life gets affected due to the malefic combination.

Significance and Effects of Grahana Yoga

Sun impacts  our overall personality and when it is associated with Rahu or Ketu, the overall confidence and personality of the person suffers a lot.

Moon impacts our emotions in a big way and the combination of Rahu or Ketu along with moon can make the person mentally weak. Or else, it leads to a lot of mental stress throughhout the life of the person.

In most cases, this affects progeny and such people find it difficult to continue their family lineage with children.

The overall growth of the person gets affected due to Grahan Yog and this can also impact the personal and professional life.

Even when the person works hard, it may become difficult to reach the goals.

However, it is important to note that more than half of the people in the world suffer from this Yoga and you can easily reduce the negative impact by pacifying the grahas.
