Godavari Harathi was performed at Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district of Andhra Pradesh on 10 November 2013 on the occasion of Karthika Masam.
Dharmapuri is a temple town which is very famous for its Yoga Narasimha Swamy Temple.
Godavari Harathi was performed under the guidance of Kashi pundits (Vedic pundits who had come from Varanasi). Pujya Sri Paripoornananda Saraswati Swamyji of Sripeetham (Kakinada) was the chief guest for this program.
On the occasion of Godavari Harathi talking to Hindupad, Sri Paripoornananda Saraswathi Swamiji explained the significance of rivers and their greatness in the development of culture and heritage.
Godavari Harathi was organised by the founder and president of ‘Godavari Maha Harathi’.
