Andal Devi (Godadevi)
Godadevi is believed as the incarnation of Goddess Shakti Devi and was incarnated as a manifestation of Bhudevi. In 2025, Godadevi Jayanti date is July 28.
The significance of this festival is that Andal Sri Godai was born in the auspicious day on the advent of Uttara Phalguni star in Adi month in Srivilliputtur in Tamilnadu, which is considered most sacred and important for Srivaishnavaites.
Also famous as Andal Jayanti, Aadi Pooram, Andal Tiruvadippudi, Sri Andal Thirunakshatram, the Godadevi Jayanti is celebrated with utmost pomp and gaiety in Tirumala Tirupati Temples, Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, Melmaruvathur Adhi Parasakthi Temple, Srivilliputtur Andal Temple, Tiruneveli temple, Vedaranyam temple, and many other Sakti Amman temples in Tamil Nadu.
