Sri Bragatheeswarar temple is located in Gangaikondacholapuram, in the district of Ariyalur, in the state of Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity of this temple is Sri Bragatheeswarar temple. The other deity is Bragatheeswarar and mother goddess is Periya Nayaki.
The temple is near 1000-2000 years old. It is one of the popular and highly worshipped shrines in the state.
The holy trees are Pinnai and Vanni plus the holy water is Simma Kinaru. The important festivals of this temple are Margazhi Tiruvadhirai in December-January, Panguni Utsav in March-April, Aipasi Poornima-full moon day in October-November and Maha Shivrathri in February-March.

On Lotus design peeta, the Navagrahas the nine planets are attractively and beautifully made of a single stone. Mother Periya Nayaki is 9.5 feet stands tall majestically. The temple is kept open from early morning to mid-noon and early evening to dusk. On realizing the wishes and desires, devotees offer 9 yards Sari to mother, 25 meter long dhoti with a 14 ft and garland to Lord.
