15 February 2021 is Ganesh Jayanti, Til Chaturthi or Sakata Chauth Festival (Maghi Ganesh Utsav / Varad Chaturthi / Tilkund Chauth). It is observed on Shukla Paksha Chaturthi in Magh month in Hindu calendar. This day is believed as the birthday of Lord Ganesha.
Ganesha Shodashopachar Puja is offered on this day. Special naivedyam (food recipes) like Modak, Kudumulu and the food items made of sesame (Til) are offered to Lord.
