Ekaratrotsava is a one-day vrata observed during Navratri Poojan. In 2025, Ekaratrotsava in Navratri date is September 30 and October 1.
Usually, it begins on Durga Ashtami and ends with Saraswati Balidan or visarjan on Mahanavami day. Durga Ashtami and Mahanavami are the days of this Navratri Puja method.
The same rituals of Navratri are followed during Ekaratrotsava Vrata. Kalasha Sthapana is performed before starting the puja on Durgashtami and Kalasha will be moved after the completion of Puja on Mahanavami. Those who are unable to perform the Navratri Puja for nine days or seven days or five days or three days, would prefer Ekaratri Vrata observance.
