Ekadasi October 2010 dates – Indira Ekadashi 2010 and Pasankusa Ekadasi 2010

Ekadasi vrat, the most meritorious vrata dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is observed on every Eakdashi in each Paksha in Hindu month. Ekadashi October 2010 dates are – October 4th and October 18. Indira Ekadashi 2010 date is October 4th and Pasankusa Ekadasi 2010 date is October 18th.

Indira Ekadasi falls on Bahula (Krishna) paksha Ekadashi in Bhadrapad month as per Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati calendars and it is Ashwin Krishna Ekadasi in North Indian Hindi calendars.

Pasankusa Ekadashi, which falls on the next day of Vijayadashami, is Shukla Paksha Ekadasi in Ashwin month or Ashwina mahina. It is also known as Papankusa Ekadasi or Padmanabha Ekadasi. Lord Padmanabha is worshipped on this Ekadashi vrata day.

Indira Ekadashi vrat katha is associated with the legend of King Indrasena of Satya Yuga who ruled Mahishmatipura.
