Diwali Cards from NGO’s

This Diwali, you could spread some cheer among the less fortunate by shopping for Diwali cards from NGO’s. This way the money earned from these procedings would help the kids of these organisations. We have tried to list out a few of them for your convenience.

Koshish – Centre For The Deaf

Charity: Everything from the detection of hearing impairment to rehabilitation of the deaf.
Cost: Each card comes with an envelope They have pictures of hearing-impaired students in various moods or activities, shot by in-house photographers.

Cancer Patients Aid Association

Charity: The proceeds go towards the treatment and rehabilitation of poor cancer patients and their families.
Cost: The cost per card isRs.10.25, with an additional VAT of 5 per cent. They offer a cash-on-delivery option.

Aseema

Charity: The cards are handmade by underprivileged children and the proceeds go towards their education.
Cost: The cost of each card is Rs. 22, which is inclusive of the envelope. The size of the cards is 4.5X6 inch. They are blank inside. On the back of each card is a short write-up on Aseema. Shipping and courier charges will be extra.

El Shaddai Charitable Trust

Charity: The proceeds from the sale of these cards goes towards the betterment of orphans, street children and children from economically desperate conditions. They are cared for and provided with food, clothing, shelter and education.
Cost: Each 4 1/4 x 6 inch card is handmade and costsRs.145. Shipping is free.

NGO Narad

Charity: The hand-made paper greeting cards have Warli work on them. They are made by tribal artisans from Jawhar. Through the sale of these products, they hope to eventually become self-sustaining.

Akanksha Foundation

Charity: The Akanksha Foundation reaches over 4,500 children through 13 schools and 40 after-school centres in Mumbai and Pune. Money from the profits goes towards education of children from low-income communities.
Cost Rs.10 per card for textured paper and Rs.8 per card for glossy paper. Discounts available for orders over 5,000 cards.
