Chukkala Amavasya Pooja is auspicious Vratham observed on Ashada Amavasya, No Moon day in Ashada masam as per Telugu calendar followed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. In 2026, Chukkala Amavasya date is August 12.
This vrata is also observed in some places of Karnataka also. Ashada Amavasya vratham is dedicated to Goddess Gauri. Gauri Puja is performed on this day by married women for better health and longer life of their husbands.

On 12 August 2026, Varjyam time is from 7.47 PM to 9.15 PM. Rahukaalam is from 12.12 PM to 1.48 PM. Abhijit Muhurta is not there on this day. Durmuhurtham time is from 11.47 AM to 12.38 PM.
Auspicious Time for Puja ====>>>> 6 AM to 7.59 AM and 8.15 AM to 10 AM. Considering the time duration needed for puja, its best to perform puja by 10 AM in the morning.
Auspicious Time for Amavasya Lakshmi Puja is – 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM.
