Bramha Kalpadhi, The Beginning Day of Creation



Bramha Kalpadhi, Brahma Kalpadi, is considered as the first day of the creation as per Hinduism. According to some Purana and ancient texts, the creation was started on Falgun Bahula Thadiya (Phalguna Krishna Tritiya) in Amavasyant calendars followed in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka. Hence, the day is called as Bramha Kalpam (The creation of Lord Bramha).

It coincides with Krishna Paksha Tritiya in Chaitra Month as per North Indian Hindi calendars.

In 2013, Brahma Kalpam / Brahma Kalpadhi date is March 30.

On the day of Bramha Kalpam, people worship their favorite Gods. Devotees worship Trimurthis (Lord Shiva, Lord Sri Maha Vishnu and Lord Bramha).
