Brahma Kalpadi marks the beginning of the Creation. It is believed Lord Brahma created the universe on this day. Brahma Kalpadi 2012 date is March 10. It is observed on the third day of Krishna Paksha in Falgun Month as per Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, and Kannada calendars. It falls in Chaitra month as per North Indian Hindi calendars.
The Trimurtis (Lord Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva) are worshipped on this day. Performing Pitru Tharpan and Shraddha rituals for dead ancestors is also considered meritorious on Brahma Kalpadhi day.
