Biggest Ganesh idol for Ganesh Chaturthi 2010 - 72 feet Ganapathi idol in Gajuwaka Vizag
World’s biggest and tallest Ganesh idol will be ready in Vizag (Visakhapatnam) for Ganesh Chaturthi 2010. Vizag is rapidly catching up with Hyderabad and cities of Maharashtra in terms of celebrating Vinayaka Chavithi in large scale. This year, Ganesh Utsav Associations have been making arrangements for erect Ganapati idols of more than 70 feet. Santipuram in Akkayyapalem will have the world’s tallest Ganesh at 81 feet. Total height of the Ganesh pandal will be 87 feet. This is set up by Ganesh Youth Association.
The second tallest Ganesh idol (72 feet) in Vizag city will be stood up in Lankavari Street in Gajuwaka by Sampath Vinayak Youth Association.
Sri Rajeev Yuvashakti Association of Dondaparthy Junction will be making arrangements for 70 feet Ganesh idol in Dondaparthy.

The environmental angle in all the three Mammoth Ganesh idols is – the Ganapati vigrahams will not be taken out in procession for immersion. The idols will be molten down at the mandaps with powerful showers of water, laced with milk, honey, kumkum, and haldi.
