Bhuleshwar Temple is located in the district of Pune in the state of Maharashtra in Western India. It is  one of the major tourist and spiritual attractions in Pune. This holy shrine is largely dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Among the devotees, pilgrims and tourists, this particular temple is greatly known for its beautiful and attractive art work on the walls and pillars of the temple.

Bhuleshwar Temple is nice and cool spot to visit by all the people. It is just 50 km away from the busy city of Pune. This temple is quite popular and famous among all as the temple of Lord Shiva. It was successfully built during the era of Pandavas and is situated on a hill. Actually it is situated in a medieval fort named as ‘Mangalgadh’.

The present temple structure was built in the 13th century by the ruler of this place then.  Enhancing its stone structure, there are many beautiful stone carvings which dominate the walls and pillars in each and every nook and corner of the temple structure.

According to the Hindu scholars and pundits, Goddess Parvati had danced at this spot for Lord Shiva before they went to Kailash for getting married. Therefore this temple has historically and mythological significance among the Hindus.

The main festival of this temple is Shivarathri in February-march. On this auspicious day, the temple is crowded with devotees and pilgrims from far and near this place. Special puja and rituals are conducted at this temple on all Shiva related religious important days with great devotion.
