As per the famous quote of Swami Vivekananda, let us always be young and energetic throughout our life. We should also act as a young man during our old age also. Even though, we might suffer from various age related issues, we must develop a strong mind, and must place the picture of the god in our soul. In general, increase in age would affect only our body and not our mind, if we keep our mind active by doing yoga and meditation, we can maintain a strong body during our old age also.
Famous siddhars and saints have lived for more than 100 years, and they have made it possible through their physical exercises and by devoting their entire attention on the almighty. The famous Shaivite Saint Sri Trilanga Swamy lived for more than 200 years, and during his ripe old age, he would meditate in the holy Ganges River for several hours. He had done this, due to his great Shiva Bhakti, and due to his good nature. The great Madhwa Saint Guru Raghavendra is still meditating in the holy Brindavan at Mantralayam, in a Samadhi state for a few hundreds of years, and he is able to do it, due to his sincere attachment on Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman.
Nowadays some young people are committing suicides due to love failure and for some small issues. They didn’t know that our life is gifted by the god, and it is in our hands to make it to prosper. Life gone cannot come back again. A dead body cannot be made into alive. We should have some enthusiasm in our mind, and must never lose hope, even in case of tough situations in our life. Many great saints and big personalities, have struggled a lot in their past periods, and then only they have attained good positions in their lives.
The great Dhruva Star and the pious Prahalada, had struggled a lot in their young age, and after that, they have attained suitable positions in their lives. Without hard work, nothing is possible. People should not think about their diseases, and instead of that, they have to overcome it by worshipping the great almighty, chanting his Mantras, singing his songs and praising his glories. We must always remember the golden proverb, “ANYTHING CAN BE MADE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE GRACE OF THE GOD”.
