Basar Temple Timings – Opening Timings & Closing Timings of Basara Saraswati Temple. Temple opens in the early morning 4 AM and is closed at 8.30 PM in the night. Basara Saraswati is located on the banks of Godavari River at Basar, Telangana state.

Sri Gnana Saraswati Temple is one of the two famous Saraswati temples in India, the other being in Jammu & Kashmir. Saraswati is the Hindu Goddess of knowledge and learning. Children are brought to the temple for the learning ceremony called as Akshara abyasam.

The origin and the history or the legend of Saraswati Temple, Basar, dates back to the period of Sage Veda Vyasa who performed penance at the river banks of Godavari.

4 AM to 4.20 AM – Temple Main Puja, Abhishekam Tickets are given

4.30 AM to 7.30 AM – Abhishekam, Alankarana, Harathi, Prasadam

7.30 AM to 12 noon – Archana, Sarva Darshanam, Aksharabhyasam (Aksharabhyasam Time)

12 noon to 12.30 PM – Nivedana & Saraswati Devi Harathi

12.30 PM to 2 PM – Lunch Time (Temple remains closed)

2 PM to 6.30 PM – Archana, Sarva Darshanam, Aksharabhyasam (Aksharabhyasam Time)

6.30 PM to 7 PM – Pradosha Pooja

7 PM to 8.30 PM – Maha Harathi & Darshanam

8.30 PM – Closing Time of Temple
