Sri Annapurna Devi is the 6th day Alankaram in Vijayawada Dasara Navaratri 2018, 15 October. During Dasara Sharan Navaratri of Kanakadurga Temple, each day one of the forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped.
Kanakadurga Mata is decorated in the form of Sri Annapurna Mata and worshipped. This Chaturthi / Panchami Navratri falls on Ashwayuja Shukla Paksha Chaturthi tithi.
Goddess Annapurna is one of the aspects of Goddess Parvati. To prove her credibility in feeding living beings, once she separated from Lord Shiva and consecrated in Kasi (Varanasi) as Annapurneshwari Devi.
