26 May 2020 is Vinayak Chaturthi with Angarak Yog. The Chaturthi, fourth day of Hindu month which falls on Tuesday (Angarak Yog) is referred to as Angarak Vinayaki Chaturthi.
This Vinayaki Chaturthi falls in Shukla Paksha of Jyeshta Month as per all Purnimant (North Indian Hindi) calendars and Amavasyant (Marathi, Kannada, Telugu and Gujarati calendars). It falls in Edava Masam of Malayalam calendar, Vaigasi Masam in Tamil calendar and Jyeshto Month of Bengali Panjika.
While the fourth day of dark fortnight (Krishna Paksha Chaturthi) is considered as Sankashti Chaturthi, the fourth day of bright half (Shukla Paksha Chaturthi) is referred to as Vinayaki Chaturthi.
