Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Aradhana Utsavam – Guru Dwadasi Puja in Sreepada Vallabha Mahasamsthanam at Pithapuram

Sri Pada Sri Vallbha Aradhana Utsavam is a grand event observed on Guru Dwadasi in Sreepada Vallabha Maha Samsthanam at Pithapuram of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. Guru Dwadashi Puja 2009 date is October 14. Pithapuram is also called as Padagaya kshetram. As per Hindu scriptures, Pithapuram is one of the most powerful Astadasha Shakti Peethas. Sri Pada Vallabha Swamy is considered as one of the avatara of Lord Dattatreya.

Guru Dwadashi is observed as Govatsa Dwadasiin other places of India. In Gujarat this day is celebrated as Vaag Barasand in Maharashtra as Vasu Baras. Govamsa Puja is the other name for Govasta Dwadashi.
