The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, KTDC, announced special Deepavali tour package for the tourists coming during Deepavali holidays. KTDC officials released a press release about this on 19th October 2010. The tour programme will connect KTDC premium hotels in Thiruvananthapuram, Kovalam, Kumarakam, Thekkady, Munnar and Kochi.
The ‘Discover Kerala’ package will cover Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Peerumedu, Thekkady, Kaladi, Athirapally, Guruvayur, Thrissur, Malampuzha, Silent Valley, Kondotti, Nilambur, Thirunnelly and Parassinikadavu. Tourists can stay at hotels mentioned in the list and visit nearby tourism spots and temples as their convenience.
The Sundara Kerala package is for 8 – 12 days and covers almost entire state of Kerala. Dakshinayana and Uttarayana packages that cover the south and north parts of the state will be five-day programs.
You can book tickets directly at the KTDC central reservation center, Thiruvananthapuram. Some hotels are also having direct booking centers.
