Pongal is the biggest festival in Tamil Nadu. It is celebrated for 4 days. Pongal Puja time in 2013 or Pongal Pooja Muhurtham in 2013 is given here according to the standard Tamil calendars and the Tamil astrology basics.
Pongal date is 14 January in 2013. The auspicious muhurtham for pongal preparation and pongal pooja is till 8.30 AM or between – 9.52 AM to 11.15 AM & 12.38 PM to 12.46 PM in the afternoon.
Tamil people consider Durmuhurtham, Rahukaalam, and Yamagandam hence the puja time is given excluding the above.
Durmuhurtham time = 12.47 PM to 1.31 PM and 3 PM to 3.44 PM (Inauspicious Time)
Rahukaalam = 8.32 AM to 9.51 AM (Inauspicious Time)
Yama gandam = 10.54 AM to 12.19 PM (Inauspicious Time)
Gulikai Kalam = 13:42:53 – 15:07:43 (Inauspicious Time)
Varjyam = Night 12.34 hrs to 2.07 hrs
Abhijit Muhurtham = 11.55 AM to 12.41 PM (Auspicious Time)
Amrita Kalam = 7.51 AM to 9.21 AM (Auspicious Time)
