Pandharpur Vittobha temple’s Waari & Palki Yatra 2012 live telecast and live online will be done on Ashadi Ekadasi festival on 30 June 2012. Ashadi Waari Palki Yatra to Pandharpur Vitthala temple has begun on June 10 and June 11 from Sant Tukaram Samadhi in Dehu and Sant Dnyaneshwar Samadhi in Alandi respectively.
Both Palkis conclude their Yatra on 29 June and Ashadi Ekadasi celebrations mark the official conclusion of Waari Yatra.
It is believed that on Ashadi Ekadasi, Lord Vishnu goes into Cosmic sleep (Yoga Nidra) for four months and will arise from it on Kartik Ekadasi. Ashadi Ekadasi is also referred to as Harishayana Ekadasi, Sayani Ekadasi, Pratham Ekadasi and Harivasara Ekadasi.
Many Television channels will be telecasting Pandharpur Ashadi Ekadasi puja live from the early morning 4 AM till evening. You can also watch live online through YuppTv.com..
