Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Swamiji is the Shankaracharya (Uttara Peetadhipathi – Successor-Designate) of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham, and his guru is Sri Bharati Theertha Swamiji. His birth name was Sri Kuppa Venkateshwara Prasada Sharma, and he was born in a pious Brahmin family in the year 1993 at Tirupati.
Sri Vidhushekara Bharati was taught Vedas and Shastras at his young age itself, and he was an expert in reciting Bhagavatham and other sacred texts. He was born in a family of Vishnu Devotees, and he used tocome along with his father to Sringeri and participated in various temple related activities.
The pontiff of Sringeri Sharada Peetham, Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji was very much attracted with the holy appearance of Venkateshwara, and made him as his disciple.
He has studied the Shastras and other holy texts under Sri Bharati Teetha Swamigal in the year 2009. Under the guidance of his guru, he was also talented in Sanskrit language.
Sri Venkateswara Sharma also guided the other students in Vedic studies, and clarified their doubts, and helped them in their spiritual path.
Through the grace of Mata Sri Sharada Devi, Sri Venkateswara Sharma has become a saint in the year 2015, and he was given the monastic name as Sri Sri Vidhushekara Bharati Swamiji. From the date of becoming a Saint to till date, he is wonderfully doing Puja to Mata Sharada and reciting the Vedas and Slokas, in a proper manner.
