Lord Vamana is the fifth avatar of Lord Vishnu and the first incarnation in the Treta Yuga. He is also the first full-human incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Vamana Dwadasi is celebrated with lot of gusto in temples dedicated to Vamana and Lord Vishnu. Most famous temples of Lord Vamana are – Vamana Kovil, Thrikakkara, Kochi, Kerala; Vamana Temple near Kamakshi temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu; and Khajuraho Vaman Mandir, Madhya Pradesh.
