Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), the temple committee of famous Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, launched an online registration facility for undertaking the pilgrimage.
As per the Shri Mata Vishno Devi Shrine Board, this online facility is an endeavour to improve the registration process for pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi.
As per the temple officials, “This initiative is a part of several steps, which are in process. The service will be available free of cost and any person planning to visit the shrine can book his Yatra permit online for a chosen day, 30 days in advance. The pilgrim can even book online on the very day of pilgrimage. Once a devotee books a permit, the person will get a printed registration slip, which has to be retained during pilgrimage.”
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board officials also added “Each Yatra registration slip will have a specific number and a barcode. Thus, every pilgrim carrying such slip can start the journey without having to stand in a queue at the Yatra registration counter, at Jammu or Katra”.
