Ugra Srinivasa Murthy Seva on Kaisika Dwadasi… The Srivari devotees had a rare spectre of the procession of Sri Ugra Srinivasa Murthy on Wednesday, 1 November 2017, in Tirumala on the auspicious occasion of annual Kaisika Dwadasi.

The unique feature about this festival is that only on this day in the entire year the idol of Ugra Srinivasa Murthy is brought out from the sanctum sanctorum of the hill temple. Lord Ugra Srinivasa Murthy flanked by his two divine consorts Sri Devi and Bhu Devi mounted atop the golden Tiruchi was taken around the four mada streets encircling the holy shrine in a grand procession even before the break of dawn as per the the age-old tradition.

The once in a year procession of Ugra Srinivasamurty will be observed in Tirumala on November 1 on the auspicious occasion of Kaisika Dwadasi.

The idol of ‘Ugra Srinivasamurty’ will be brought out of the sanctum sanctorum of the hill temple only once in a year on this day and taken out in a grand procession around the mada streets encircling the holy shrine before the break of the dawn on a golden palanquin as is the tradition.

Later the priests conducts Asthanam to the deities inside the temple and read out the significance of the festival.
