30 January 2024 is Thyagaraja Aradhana at thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. It is a grand tribute to the legendary saint composer Sri Thyagaraja Swamy.
Thiruvaiyaru Thyagaraja Aradhana 2024 is the 177th Aradhanotsavam. The utsavams begins on 26th and will end on 30 January with Pancharathna Kritis.
Every year on Krishna Paksha Panchami in Pushya Masam (Pushya Bahula Panchami) as per Telugu calendar, Thyagaraja Aradhana Utsavams are held.
Mahabhishekam is performed to the idol of Thyagaraja at the Samadhi. Unchavruthi bhajan will be taken out from the residence of the saint on Thirumanjana Veedhi to the samadhi. Procession of the idol of Sri Thyagaraja will be taken out with Pancharathna Mallari music on January 31, evening.
