Sri Bharati Tirtha Swami graces Shikaripura, Shimoga district in March 2014. Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji is the Jagadguru of Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji arrived at Shikaripura in the evening of 27th March 2014. The Jagadguru was received by the devotees of Shikaripura and was taken in a procession to Kevalashrama. Sri Shivananda Tirtha Swamiji of Kevalashrama performed Dhuli Padapuja and offered the Swagata Patrika.

Sri Shivananda Tirtha Swamiji in his speech prayed for the Anugraha of the Jagadguru Mahaswamiji for the development of the Ashrama. The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji in His Anugraha Bhashanam explained the importance of the Guru in our Sanatana Dharma and talked about the great Guruparampara starting from Lord Sadashiva.

The Jagadguru also told that the Shikaripura Kevalananda Ashrama has been developing by the gracious blessings of the Jagadgurus of Sringeri. On 28th morning, the Jagadguru performed Kumbhabhisheka and blessed everyone with Phala Mantrakshata and Tirtha Prasada and left for Sringeri in the evening.

Kumbhabhisheka:

The Kumbhabhisheka at Kevalashrama temple in Shikaripura (of Shimoga district) took place on the morning of 28th March 2014. The Kumbhabhisheka and Prathishtha of the temple was performed in the year 1969 by the then Sringeri Jagadguru, Srimad Abhinava Vidyatirha Mahaswamiji.

Upon the earnest request of Sri Shivananda Tirtha Swamiji of Kevalashrama, the present Sringeri Jagadguru Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji performed the Kumbhabhisheka at the temple. The Jagadguru consecrated Sri Sharadamba and Sri Adi Shankaracharya in separate Sannidhis that were newly constructed. The Jagadguru also performed PunaH Pratishtha Kumbhabhisheka of Lord Dattatreya.
