Spiritual seekers are those people who would be having the enthusiasm to worship the god, but some of them do not know the proper procedure to worship the god. But if the intention of the devotees is pure, and if they are very much interested in offering their prayers to the god, then god doesn’t expect the proper form of worship from them. God is ready to give his blessings even to the illiterate people, if they express their true bhakti on the god. We might have studied the life history of some saints, and in that, it was mentioned, that they had attained liberation, just by performing meditation and they kept the god in their soul, and without offering proper puja service, they have reached the abode of the god.
Even though if we know the proper puja procedure and even though if we are aware of all the divine mantras, yet, we should not disclose our pride before the god, and also we should not neglect the wishes of those people who seek our help for proper form of worshiping the god. If we take the example of the great Saint, Sri Ravidas, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu, though he belonged to a lower caste, but he is well treated by the royal people as well as by the learned scholars, since he contained all the requisite qualifications of a noble Saint.
Most of the Panduranga devotees like Gora Kumbhar and Savata Mali were belonged to lower caste only, but they were considered as very pure and pious by the then kings and the common people, and they had got the opportunity to seethe divine vision of Lord Panduranga. Still now lot of low class people from Maharashtra used to walk towards Pandharpur during festival days by the way of singing, dancing and reciting divine names of Lord Panduranga. Since they are selflessly seeking spirituality, they are sincerely offering their prayers to Lord Vithoba. But some people would consider themselves as true devotees of the god, and they would think as if they are the most liked people of the god, since according to them, simply by worshipping the god itself, whether interestingly or uninterestingly, one can become a true devotee of the god.
God expects a true bhakti from us, and more than that, he didn’t expect anything from us. By simply closing our eyes, and standing before the deities in the temples, would be of no use. Bhakti must pour from top to bottom of our body, and it should come automatically. Showing our bhakti due to anyone’s compulsion would not fetch good results in our life. We must worship the god in a whole heartedly manner, and we should always aim to attain the lotus feet of Lord Krishna, by frequently uttering his names, chanting his glories, singing his songs, and also by listening frequently to divine discourses performed by the spiritual discoursers like Dushyanth Sridhar, Vishaka Hari and Boomija, in order to purify our souls.
