Indian Railways (IRCTC) would run Sabarimala Train as a part of the special tour packages in the ‘Bharat Darshan Special Train’ to South India. It covers almost all tourism-based destinations in South India. This Sabarimala Train will depart on 7 January 2011 and will return on 13 January 2011.
Bharat Darshan Special Train to Sabarimala covers other destinations like Cochin (Athirapally waterfall, Cherai beach, Jew Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Chinese fishy nets, Hill Palace Museum, Chotanikkara), Kanyakumari, Madurai, and Rameshwaram.
The subsidised package tour is priced at Rs 4,620 per person and includes to and fro travel, food service, road transportation for sight-seeing and accommodation at destinations wherever night stay is involved. The boarding and de-boarding points include Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Nalgonda, Nadikundi, Guntur, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur and Renigunta.
