2014 Puja Special Trains: Pune, Bhubaneswar, Patna, Sambalpur-Yesvantpur, Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cantonment, etc..

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has introduced two special weekly trains from Bhubaneswar to Pune and Patna to clear waitlisted passengers during Puja season.

The train to Pune, which will run from September 21 to November 30, is scheduled to leave Bhubaneswar every Sunday at 10.15pm. In the return direction, it will leave Pune at 11.15am every Tuesday.

The weekly train to Patna will run from September 19 to October 3. It will leave Bhubaneswar at 3.30pm every Friday and in the return direction start from Patna at 2pm every Saturday, an ECoR media release issued on Thursday said. Both the trains have AC-2 tier, AC-3 tier and sleeper class facilities, the release said.

To avoid rush during Puja in Mysore, the railways will run some special trains through ECoR. Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Cantonment special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 10.50pm every Saturday and Wednesday till October 22 and arrive at Bangalore Cantonment the following day. In the return direction, the train will leave Bangalore Cantonment at 11.50pm every Sunday and Thursday till October 23.

Similarly, Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Special will leave Sambalpur at 8.50am every Wednesday from October 1 to December 24 and arrive at Yesvantpur at 4.30pm the following day. In the return direction, the train will leave Yesvantpur at 12.30am every Friday from October 3 to December 26.
