Today, 7 June 2013 is Phalaharini Kalika Puja|Shodashi Puja in Bengal and RK Math centers all around the world. It is observed on Amavasya in Jyeshta Month as per North Indian Hindu calendar. It coincides with Vaishakha Amavasya in Amavasyant calendars.
It is a highly revered day in the history of RK Math as on the same day in 1872, Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa worshipped the Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi as Shodashi Mata and offered the fruits of all his spiritual endavors.
Phalaharini means the one who devours the fruits of all previous actions.
Special rituals such as special bhog, bhajans, and many other activities are conducted on Phalaharini Kali Puja in RK Math centers all around the world. Thousands of devotees visit RK Math Belur, the headquarters of RK Math, on this day.
Visesha Puja, Bhajans and Prasad distribution are held in RK Math Hyderabad from 6 PM to 9 PM on 7th June 2013.
