On the ninth day of Durga Navarathri, Maha Navami or Maharnavami is celebrated. MahaNavami 2014 date is October 3.

In North India, Goddess Matungi / Goddess Renuka Devi is the goddess of this ninth day of Durga Navratri.

In South India, Goddess Mahishasura Mardhini is the goddess of the ninth day of Durga Navarathri.

    Still dont know when Durga puja starts. I have started fasting until Durga puja starts. supposed by 19.09.09. Any mistake I commit, please rebuke me on “anandsunnoo@yahoo.co.uk”
