July 2010 Ekadashi dates – Ekadasi Vrat in July 2010

Ekadashi is the most observed Vrat or fasting dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that those who observe Ekadashi fasting would obtain salvation (Moksha) after their death. In July 2010, Ekadashi dates are – July 8th and July 21st. Both these Ekadasi fasting days fall in Ashad maas as per North Indian Hindi calendars while the first one is in Jyeshta maas and the second one is in Ashada maasa in Amavasyant calendars followed by Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu and Kannada people.

Ekadashi dates in July 2010:

  • Yogini Ekadasi – July 8, 2010 – Ashad Krishna Ekadasi (North Indian Hindi calendars) / Jyeshta Vad Ekadasi (in Amavasyant calendars)
  • Ashadi Ekadasi – July 21, 2010 – Ashada Shukla Ekadasi (Ashadi Ekadashi is also known as Harisayani Ekadasi / Devashayana Ekadashi / Harivasara Ekadasi / Tholi Ekadasi)
