Inviting Budha Bhagavan to our Home on Wednesdays

We must have to sincerely and regularly worship Lord Budha Bhagavan, who is considered to be the golden planet, and we can invite him to our homes, especially on Wednesdays. According to our holy Puranas, the great planet Lord Budha is considered as an aspect of Lord Vishnu, and he is the god of Wednesday. Hence by worshipping him, we can please Lord Vishnu also. Budha is the son of Lord Chandra, and after meditating several years on Lord Vishnu, he has obtained great powers, and he becomes one of the planet gods. Budha is an ancient deity, and during Vedic period, he is worshipped all over the world. We can chant the mantra, “OM SRI BUDHA BHAGAVANE NAMAHA”, in order to fulfill our wishes, and to get various boons from him.

We can keep a laminated picture of Lord Budha in our puja room, and can worship him by offering flowers to him. Prasad item made out of sugar or jaggery would please him very much, and he would give his instant blessings on us. Budha is described in the Puranas, as very handsome and soft natured person, who always chants the names and glories of Lord Vishnu. He is occupying the position of the planet for several millions of years, and there is no end for him, similar to other planets.

People who suffers from health and mind related issues, can worship Lord Budha on Wednesdays, by offering puja to him in their homes. Though Lord Budha cannot entirely change our fate, at least, he can give the withstanding powers to face our troubles and turmoil. He is respected by the sages, saints and even by Lord Indra.

There is a famous proverb in Tamil, “EVEN WE CAN BUY GOLD AT ANY TIME, BUT WE CANNOT GET THE AUSPICIOUS DAY WEDNESDAY”. Most of the Hindu functions like marriages, betrothals and Grahapravesham would be held only on Wednesday, by considering it as an auspicious day. New businesses would be started mostly on Wednesdays, for getting a bright future.

Those who are born on Wednesdays are considered as lucky persons, and they would always get the blessings of Lord Budha.
