Ma Kamakshi is a form of Ma Shakti Devi who charmingly holds the sugarcane bow and flowers, and also contains some weapons on her hand. The temple is situated in Bharathidasan Nagar and it was founded during the year 1998 and it was built under the supervision of Sri Kanchi Mutt. The consecration ceremony of this Temple was performed during the years 1998 and 2004.
This temple permits Children who are under the age of five, to perform yearly Abhishekam, in order to motivate the young ones to travel in the path of devotion in their future life also, and to make them to attain prosperity and sure success in their lives.
Apart from Unmarried people, Divorcees/ Widows/ Widowers also used to visit this temple, in order to get a suitable life partner in their future life. The nine days Navarathri festival takes place in a grand manner, and during those days, the idol of Ma Kalyana Kamakshi Amman would be nicely decorated, she would seated on a beautiful chariot, and we can have the wonderful Darshan of Ma Kamakshi Amman delightfully.
The Kolu event would be arranged in a nice manner, wherein which the Golu dolls would be properly decorated and it would be kept in the steps, which would steal the hearts of the devotees.
The karadayan nonbu festival is also celebrated in a fantastic manner, and during that wonderful occasion, we could find lot of married women who used to sincerely pray to Ma Kamakshi for the longevity of their lovely life partners.
During the full moon day, also called as Pournami, the Utsava Idol would be taken out for procession around the temple premises.
