Lord Vinayaka is considered to be the first god in Hinduism. Hindus worship Lord Vinayaka as the obstacle remover and people worships him daily by offering pujas to him.

Lord Vinayaka is the god of granting boons. He is regarded as the god of gods, and his temples are situated even in abroad. Even under a tree, he would be found seated. He cannot be ignored in our normal life, since we depends him for satisfying our each and every needs.

Some interesting facts about Lord Vinayaka are as follows:-

1. Lord Vinayaka contains the head of an elephant.

2. Lord Vinayaka is also considered to be the god of happiness, since he always appears in a happy mood.

3. Lord Vinayaka is worshipped even by his father Lord Shiva.

4. Lord Vinayaka is believed to have contained the powers of his mother, Ma Shakti Devi.

5. Vinayaka worship is practicable since several Yugas.

6. Vinayaka contains more than 100 names.

7. Lord Vinayaka is also fond of eating sweet items made out of jaggery.

8. Vinayaka can be worshipped along with his consorts Ma Siddhi and Ma Buddhi.

9. By continuously chanting the names of Lord Vinayaka would help us to cross the ocean of life.

10. Vinayaka can be worshipped along with other gods, or otherwise by worshipping Lord Vinayaka alone would fetch the blessings of all other deities.

11. Vinayaka would be very much pleased, if we offer a small bunch of the holy grass, also known as Arukampul to him.

12. Vinayaka can also be worshipped as a child god similar to Lord Muruga and Lord Krishna.

13. In some villages of North India, Lord Vinayaka is worshipped by the villagers as their guardian god, with the name, “VINAYAKABHADRA”.

14. Sages like Purushundi had attained salvation due to the grace of Lord Vinayaka.

16. It is also believed that Lord Vinayaka still remains as a bachelor, since he considers all the women as the aspects of his mother, Ma Shakti Devi.

17. Some pious demons like Prahalada, Namuchi and Vibishana used to worship Lord Vinayaka before the start of their daily activity.

18. Before eating our daily food, we must compulsorily worship Lord Vinayaka, in order to get sufficient food for ever in our life.
