Eighth day of Brahmotsavam, 14 October 2021 | Rathotsavam & Ashwavahana Seva

TTD Rathotsavam

TTD Rathotsavam

On the seventh day of Brahmotsavam, in the morning Rathothsavam and in the evening Ashwavahana sevas are celebrated. In 2021, eighth day of Navaratri Brahmotsavams date is October 14 (Salakatla Brahmotsavam).

Rathotsavam (Chariot Festival)

Eighth day is a very important day in Brahmotsavams as on this day, Lord’s Rathotsavam, chariot festival is held. It is believed that a devotee gets moksha by having darsanam of Lord Srinivasa riding on the chariot.

We will be relieved from the cycle of births and re-births by having Lord’s darsan in this rathotsavam. The chariot is wonderfully decorated with beautiful flower garlands.

Ashwa Vahana Seva

In the night lord rides on ‘Ahswa Vahanamam’, horse vehicle. It is also an attractive celebration in Brahmotsavam.
