Dhanurmasa Adhyayanotsavams in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam

Dhanurmasa Adhyayanotsavams in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam are celebrated in December – January. In 2014-2015, the 25-day annual religious fete of ‘Adhyayanotsavams’ will commence from Sunday, December 21 at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple and will conclude with ‘Tanniramudu’ festival on 14th January 2015.

Vedic pundits will recite 4,000 ‘Pasurams’ from ‘Alwar Divya prabandham’ inside the hill temple.

While the first 11 days are known as “Pagalpattu” and the next ten days are called “Rapattu”. On 22nd Day “Kanninun Siruttambu”, on 23rd Day ‘Ramanuja Nutrandadi’ followed by ‘Varaha Swamy sattumurai’ on 24th day are being observed during the event. This 25-day festival will concude with “Tanniramudu”.
