Dasavatara Ganapati idol in Chaitanyapuri Manaikanta Bhakta Samajam Ganesh Mandapam in Dilsukhnagar Hyderabad
Chaitanyapuri Ganesh idol, the second largest Ganapati vigraham in Hyderabad city, will be Dasavatara Ganapati for Ganesh Chaturthi festival in 2010. Manikanta Bhakta Samajam who manages Ganesh Navaratri utsav at Kamalnagar, Chaitanyapuri, at Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad has been making all arrangements for design and installation of the giant idol. This 33 to 35 feet statue will be ready for utsavam by September first week. For this Bhumi puja is held on 12 August 2010. In 2009, the height of the idol was 30 feet.
All the 10 avataras or incarnations of Sri Maha Vishnu (Dashavatara) will be shown in the idol. The designers and constructers may work for 25 days to complete the idol. Sakshi, a Telugu local Daily Newspaper, has published the news item and the image of Chaitanyapuri Dashavatara Ganapathi idol.
