Observances

  • Early morning snan, Vishnu puja with tulsi and sattvic naivedya, and recitation of Bhagavad Gita or Vishnu Sahasranama passages linked to Bhishma’s discourses.

  • Many perform symbolic tarpan or annadaan, praying for family harmony, progeny blessings, and strength in vows, especially relevant during Magha’s auspicious period post-Uttarayana.
