Bail Pola or Pola, is a cattle festival celebrated in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar & some other regions in North India. In 2021, Bail Pola date is September 6.
Each and every bullock of farming community is given water bath on Pola day. Colorful shawls and other attractive clothes are covered on them. Bullocks are adorned with ornaments. The special dish called ‘Puran Poli’ are prepared and offered to bullocks on Bail Pola festival.
