SONGS FROM KANDAR KALIVENBA
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. When we utter the sacred and sweet word Muruga” Doesn’t you get delighted? When we invite you to our place wouldn’t you come with great compassion?
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. Even if I mention your name once or meditate on your holy lotus feet, you would immediately provide me with your grace. Hence I utter your name day and night. Even if I talk about you for all the 365 days in a year, I wouldn’t get tired, and wouldn’t get throat pain. Even if I bow my hands before you for innumerable hours, my hands would not suffer from pain. Even if I keep falling at your lotus feet for several hours, my legs wouldn’t get affected by pain. Even if I keep seeing your divine face for a long time, my eyes wouldn’t blink!
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. Did you dislike me for any mistakes which I might have committed without my knowledge? You are the god of love and beauty. Did you get angry at me? Please tell about my drawbacks, so that I would be able to correct it. O, Lord of lords who dwells in Tiruchendur!
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. “Protect me, Oh! Lord! Please protect me from the repeated cycle of births, since human birth causes endless sorrow and miseries, and in this human birth, we keep on worrying about things like poisonous, worst and ghost like people and also there are chances of threats from fire, water and from wild beasts, wherever they confront me threatening my life.
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. You are very beautiful. Please give us courage, education, wisdom, good health and wealth. Please grant me the divine vision to see you riding your wonderful green peacock, your twelve mighty arms would warm us, the sharp spear removes our fear, your waist removes our lust, your handsome feet safeguards our feet, your six pairs of gracious eyes safeguards our eyes. Hey, Balamuruga! You must give your divine vision wherever I am in need.
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. Let you grant all favours and stay in my heart. Let me keep on composing poems in various forms unlimitedly. Make me a scholar in Tamil, in order to continue my writing work without any end. Make me to show my attention on you, in order to enjoy the everlasting divine bliss. Accept me as your slave, servant, and as your disciple, I would serve at your lotus feet forever.
Oh Lord of Tiruchendur. Come soon come soon. Now it is the time for you to come to the world, since we are all suffering like anything in this difficult Kaliyuga.
