Ashad Maas 2012 in Gujarati Calendar

Ashad Maas (Ashadh mahina, Ashadh month) is the 9th month in traditional Gujarati Panchang. In 2012, Ashadh Maas begins on June 20 and ends on July 19 as per the Gujarati calendar. The same dates are referred to as Ashada maas in Marathi, Telugu and Kannada Amavasyanth lunar calendars. Ashad Mahina is considered as inauspicious for any shubhakaryam such as marriage, engagement ceremony, Gruh pravesh (house warming ceremony), etc.

Sud Paksh in Ashad maas begins on 20 June and ends on 3 July 2012.

Vad Paksh in Ashad maas begins on 3 July and ends on 19 July 2012.

Ashadi Ekadasi (Sayani Ekadasi or Harishayani Ekadashi), Chaturmaas Vrat arambh, Ved Vyas Purnima or Guru Purnima, and Somvati Amavasya are the major festivals celebrated during Ashada month in Gujarat.

Gauri Vrat and Jaya Parvati Vrat are the Gujarati vratas observed in the traditional Gujarati calendar.

Gauri Vrat 2012 begins on June 30 and ends on July 3, 2012. Gauri Vrat is also known as Molakat Vrat.

Jaya Parvati Vrat 2012 dates: Jaya Parvati Jagran is on 5th July 2012.
