Ashad Maas 2016 in Gujarati Calendar

Ashad Maas (Ashadh mahina, Ashadh month) is the 9th month in traditional Gujarati Panchang. In 2016, Ashadh Maas begins on July 5 and ends on August 2 as per the Gujarati calendar. The same dates are referred to as Ashada maas in Marathi, Telugu and Kannada Amavasyanth lunar calendars.

Ashad Mahina is considered as inauspicious for any shubhakaryam such as marriage, engagement ceremony, Gruh pravesh (house warming ceremony), etc.

Sud Paksh in Ashad maas begins on July 5 and ends July 19

Vad Paksh in Ashad maas begins on July 20 and ends on August 2.

Gauri Vrat and Jaya Parvati Vrat are the Gujarati vratas observed in the traditional Gujarati calendar.

Gauri Vrat 2016 begins on July 15 and ends on July 19. Gauri Vrat is also known as Molakat Vrat.

Jaya Parvati Vrat 2016 dates: Jayaparvati Vrat begins on 17 July and Jaya Parvati Jagran is on July 21.
